Middle East Region Training Opportunity

Holiday Inn - University Area in Charlottesville, VA
Inspector General Senior Course – 6-7 April 2017
Officers and NCOs who want to attend the Inspector General Senior Course (IGSC) must electronically submit a CAPF 17, through their Commanders to Col. Ray Harris, at rharris@cap.gov  NLT 15 March 2017.   Wing and squadron commanders are encouraged to attend the IGSC.  Applications after March 15th will be reviewed on an individual basis.

Members must complete the online Investigation Officer and the Inspection Augmentee Course prior to attending the IGSC.  Members will arrive at the Holiday Inn – University Area in Charlottesville, VA NLT  0715hrs on Thursday 6 April.  All members are required to complete the minimum required class hours to be credited with course completion.  Participants will be required to complete homework assignments while attending the class and a laptop is highly recommended for each member.  Wing IGs are encouraged to attend all or part of the IGSC.  (This will serve as your 2017 annual refresher)

The course is being held in conjunction with the MER-Virginia Wing Conference. Meals and billeting can be purchased at the hotel or other local lodging.  I suggest speaking with your wing commander for assistance in covering the cost.

Once your CAPF 17 is received, additional information such as directions and course schedule will be sent to members who are interested in this training opportunity.  Even if you have already taken the course – it is a good idea to take it again as forms and regulations have changed and it is a good refresher.

We are currently working with the Director of the Virginia Wing Conference for discount room rates.  Wing Inspector Generals, an IG Summit will be conducted on 8 April.
